Writing with Light and a Passion for Red

If you know me, you know that I love bling and red!  I also love the light writing that we've done.  So what excitement I had to find out we had a choice of assignments.  However, I decided to combine two and this is what I came up with.  My shutter was set on "10 and my apperture was 5.0.  The ISO for this shot was 200.  Now that I think about it, leaving the light on a little longer may have allowed my sparkling red background to show up more.

Here are some of my efforts BEFORE I got to this stage....

My first shot.... WAY too close.
Then I tried using light to make my "red" stand out more..... but LED lighting just wasn't giving me the color that I wanted...

So... I used another flashlight but it was more like a spotlight and was only making part of the background show up....

So I decided to use the ceiling light (I'm in my closet BTW) but without thinking, had my ISO set too high for that much light...(I think it was 3200)

But after some tweaking with the ISO and the timing of my "drawing", I finally came to one that I was very close to my vision!.

Then....

I wanted to use this as a Valentine picture so I went to PhotoShop and designed this Valentine....
